What is our Dental Therapist role?

The successful applicant will provide dental care for enrolled children in Dental Therapy Centres. This includes:

• Maintaining patient records and central management records in accordance with DHS instructions.
• Supervising and giving guidance to Dental Clinic Assistants and student Dental Clinic Assistants.
• Providing information and presentations on oral health to individuals, schools, community groups and health professionals and implementing preventive programs in community groups.

Attraction and Retention Incentive (ARI)

An ARI ranging from $6000 to $10,000 pa. has been approved and is payable to Dental Therapists who are engaged in regional Western Australia before 30 June 2025. The ARI is payable in three instalments subject to meeting eligibility requirements. The ARI will apply to positions based in the South West, Great Southern, Wheatbelt, Goldfields, Kimberley, Pilbara, and Midwest. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
