About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Rehabilitation team as a Senior Physiotherapist, where you will be responsible for:

  • Demonstrating clinical leadership in the provision of specialised evidence-based physiotherapy services to children with cerebral palsy (CP) and CP-like neuromuscular conditions.
  • Identify, implement, undertake, and evaluate service improvements and research projects relevant to the role.
  • Maintaining a clinical caseload while providing professional/clinical supervision to physiotherapy staff.
  • Providing a consultancy service in the field of paediatric neuromuscular physiotherapy to staff within WCHN, Regional South Australia, and interstate.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Degree or other qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide specialised clinical skills in the evidence-based physiotherapy management of complex paediatric CP and CP like neuromuscular conditions.
  • Highly developed effective communication skills and the ability to communicate with a range of staff and consumers on sensitive and complex issues.
  • Extensive experience in the physiotherapy management of children and young people with CP and CP like neuromuscular conditions in an acute or rehabilitation setting.
  • Demonstrated specialised knowledge of effective orthopaedic and rehabilitation principles, approaches and outcomes as it relates to complex paediatric disability.
