The Team:
The Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania’s largest hospital and the tertiary referral centre for neonatal, paediatric and adolescent healthcare services.
We are seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to work in our multidisciplinary team in the area of Paediatrics and Adolescents. You will provide and maintain optimal evidence-based physiotherapy collaboratively with patients, families and carers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team in a setting which encompasses inpatient and outpatient services.
The Role:
In the role of Senior Physiotherapist (Paediatrics and adolescents), you will:
- Provide and maintain optimal evidence-based physiotherapy care to paediatric patients of the Tasmanian Health Service –Hospitals South (THS HS). You will provide this care collaboratively with patients, families and carers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team in a setting which encompasses inpatient and outpatient services.
- Promote a learning culture supporting leadership and clinical supervision to physiotherapists, allied health assistants and undergraduate students.
- Provide clinical expertise and professional education to Physiotherapy, Allied Health, Medical and Nursing Teams, and external agencies.
- Foster innovation and support Quality Improvement and Service Delivery projects

Details of appointment:
Fixed term full time, day worker (with on-call) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible and for a period of 12 months.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022.
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

- Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
In addition, the following allowance is available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
Current Working with Children Registration
