About the Company:
This group are a property specialist operating throughout Australia, they are well known company with a dedicated focus on retail property and shopping centre's. Key areas of expertise are asset management, leasing and advisory services.

Your Role:

The Property Property Accountant facilitates the full-cycle accounting for a real estate portfolio, including management and compliance accounting and reporting. The position will be responsible for providing high level financial reporting and analysis for the assigned Property Portfolio.

This is also an exciting career advancement opportunity, within 6 months you will have the opportunity to step up into a key leadership role within the accounting team.

Role duties:

• Preparation, delivery and management of annual outgoings budgets for all property assets
• Maintaining the operating budget records for income and expenses
• Prepare accurate financial reports for monthly management reports for each property
• Prepare and submit forecasts for review and update with the overall team
• Review and assist with income and expenditure
• Business partnering
• Support senior management to proactively improve budget models
• Work collaboratively with centre and leasing
• Tenant invoice preparation, monitoring and reporting including monthly turnover rent calculations
• Tenant rental account reconciliations as required
• Quarterly review of direct recoverable income and expense reconciliation
• Other duties as required from time to time, as directed

What you need to succeed:

• Hold CA/CPA qualification
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong analytic, problem-solving and communication skills

Ideal Background:

• Previous experience in retail property and shopping centres
• Management accounting experience
