About the role

We're seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant / Relief Lead Educator to join our vibrant team at the Bowen Childcare and Early Education Centre. This part-time position is based in Bowen, QLD 4805, and offers the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the development and well-being of young children.

What you'll be doing

Assist the Lead Educator in planning and delivering high-quality educational programs that cater to the individual needs of children

Provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth of children

Collaborate with the team to implement the centre's policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards

Actively engage in observations, documentation and assessments to monitor children's progress and inform future program planning

Assist with the supervision of children during indoor and outdoor play, mealtimes and other daily routines

Communicate effectively with parents and families, building positive relationships and providing updates on their child's development

Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve your skills and knowledge in early childhood education

What we're looking for

A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field

Experience working in a childcare or early education setting, preferably in an assistant or lead role

A genuine passion for supporting the development and well-being of young children

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

A commitment to upholding the highest standards of care and education

A current Working with Children/Blue Card and First Aid certificate
