About the role

Gatton Kindergarten Association Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Educator to join our dynamic team in our beautiful centre located in Gatton, Queensland. As an Assistant Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care to our young learners.

What you'll be doing

Assist the Lead Educator in planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs that cater to the individual needs and interests of children

Provide a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment that promotes the holistic development of children

Engage in positive interactions and build strong relationships with children, families and the wider community

Contribute to the maintenance of a clean, organised and well-resourced learning environment

Comply with all relevant legislation, regulations and policies to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of children

Participate in ongoing professional development to continuously improve your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

A relevant Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care

Experience working with young children in an early childhood or kindergarten setting

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, families and colleagues

A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)

Child Protection certification (or willingness to obtain)

Working with Children Check

Able to work 9-5.30 2 days a week (Thursday and Friday)
