We are an established specialist practice in Booval looking to appoint an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our small team on a part time basis.

Main responsibilities:

working on front desk in a busy reception area

greeting patients on arrival

answering incoming phone calls

billing patients for appointments and claiming via Medicare

monitor incoming emails and action efficiently

action incoming patient referrals in a timely manner

sending of doctors letters

scanning documents to patient files

Using Best Practice & Gentu

To be considered for this role you will have:

at least 12 months experience working in a medical practice

exceptional customer service and phone manner

a caring attitude

ability to multi-task

strong attention to detail

uphold the strictest patient confidentiality

reliability

ability to work closely in a small team

previous use of practice management software (Best Practice or similar)

This position will be for 5 permanent days per fortnight (approx 40 hours) and some flexibility is required to be able to cover staff absences on other days when required. A payrate based on experience will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
