Business Project Manager – System Replacement Project

• Location: Melbourne + WFH (hybrid)
• Pay Rate: $900 - $1,200 per day incl. Super
• Assignment Length: Anticipated 6 months with potential to extend
• Hours: 40 hours per week

About the Role:

We’re hiring an experienced Business Project Manager to lead the business stream of a major system replacement initiative for a high-profile organisation in the transport/aviation sector.

You’ll be the key driver of business-side delivery for a core operational system, coordinating across business units, change teams, and technical counterparts to ensure a smooth and timely implementation.

This is a hands-on delivery role – ideal for someone who thrives on structure, stakeholder alignment, and making things happen in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the delivery of business-side activities in line with project timelines
• Coordinate with technical PM and business leaders across AU/NZ and Asia
• Lead and align cross-functional teams (BA, Change, Testing, Training)
• Resolve business-side issues, risks, and decisions ahead of go-live
• Report into Steering Committee and represent the business on key items
• Work closely with change teams to ensure process alignment and adoption

About You:

• Strong background in business project delivery (not just technical PM)
• Experience leading enterprise system upgrades or operational platforms
• Confident working with diverse stakeholders and cross-cultural teams
• Skilled in navigating resistance to change and bringing teams on the journey
• Comfortable operating in complex, regulated environments
• Previous aviation or transport experience a bonus, but not essential
