About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Associate to join the Bargaining and Legal Strategy team within the Industrial Relations Branch at the Premier's Department.
As our new Associate, Bargaining and Legal Strategy you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality advice and analysis on bargaining matters, ensuring key risks and opportunities are identified and addressed effectively.
In this role, you will support public sector agencies in achieving their workforce goals by providing strategic industrial relations advice and guiding complex negotiations. This is a unique opportunity to enhance your industrial relations expertise by gaining hands-on experience with public sector bargaining processes, conducting in-depth research, contributing to policy development, and preparing insightful reports and briefings to inform Government decision-making.

We're Looking For
- Industrial Relations Expertise: Proven experience in providing strategic advice on bargaining, industrial awards, and employment legislation
- Research & Analysis: Strong skills in conducting in-depth research and analysis to support informed decision-making and policy development
- Public Sector Knowledge: Understanding of public sector policies, processes, and objectives, particularly within bargaining and workforce initiatives
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including managing complex negotiations.
- Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Demonstrated capacity to identify issues and opportunities, contributing to the optimisation of processes and frameworks.
- High-Quality Written Communication: Ability to prepare clear, concise, and timely reports, briefs, and correspondence to inform key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Project Management & Multitasking: Experience managing competing priorities and delivering projects within tight deadlines.

Salary: Clerk Grade 7/8. Package includes base salary ($110,266
