ASSISTANT BUILDING SURVEYOR/BUILDING SURVEYOR

The opportunity:

· Full time 76 hours per fortnight.

· Level 5/6 – salary range $75,920-$88,890 pa depending upon qualifications and experience*.

· Located at our Eaton Administration Centre.

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Building Surveyor (unqualified) OR Building Surveyor (minimum Technician Level 3 Building surveyor registration) to support the safe and sustainable development of our Shire. What you’ll do:

· Assist in assessing building permit applications and plans for compliance with building regulations.

· Conduct site inspections for building work in progress or completed structures.

· Provide technical advice to residents, builders, and other stakeholders.

· Support compliance enforcement of building codes and relevant legislation.

· Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required.

What we’re looking for:

· Candidates who are eligible to work towards obtaining a Building Surveyor Technician registration as our Assistant Building Surveyor.

· Or a qualified Building Surveyor who holds a Technician Level registration or above (Level 2 or Level 1).

· Understanding of relevant building legislation and codes.

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

· A commitment to safety, compliance, and public service.
