Key Outcomes of the Role:

Design, Create and Deliver the Lifeskills Lab - Empowering pathways to independence

Manage and meet all budget requirements

Support and Develop people with Down syndrome throughout the project

Provide an opportunity for lived experience to be a strong part of the project delivery

High level of stakeholder engagement

Develop and deliver materials and resources that can be used in the future

Arrange delivery a range of workshops over the remaining 18 months

Have a high level of engagement with the community through ENews, Socials and direct contact.

Produce Stories and Case studies

Keep and report on data and statistics of the program

The Project Coordinator will create, design and deliver workshops, programs and two one day forums alongside members with Down syndrome.

You will be part of a passionate, dedicated and fun team supporting the needs of our adult members.

Required:

Skills and Experience in delivering key projects

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a welcoming and empathetic approach to engaging with families.

Demonstrates strong capacity to think creatively and use initiative to support the outcomes of the project.

Strong capacity to deliver a project on time and budget

High level of experience in project budget management

Strong organizational skills to plan and coordinate engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the CEO, other members of the DSWA team and external providers.

Proficiency with an array of Microsoft suite of products and willingness to learn DSWA’s CRM system for recording event details and attendance.

A compliance with NDIS quality and safeguarding requirements, and child safety principles.

A high degree of confidentiality.

Desirable:

Lived experience of Down syndrome

Experience in the Disability sector
