Level 1 Service Desk Technician
Responsibilities:
As a Service Desk Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in providing technical support to our clients. Here are your key responsibilities:
First Point of Contact: You’ll be the initial point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance. Whether it’s over the phone or via email, you’ll address their queries promptly and professionally.
Rotating Work Arrangement: You’ll alternate between working from home and being stationed at one of our client sites in Newcastle.
Onsite Client Support:
At the client site, you’ll manage service desk requests, handle SOE (Standard Operating Environment) builds, and assist with onboarding and offboarding requests in Azure AD and Microsoft 365.
Your role will involve troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring smooth operations for our clients.
Remote Client Support:
When working from home, you’ll serve as the point of contact for clients with various technologies.
Master these technologies and provide excellent service desk support remotely.
Compensation and Equipment:
You’ll receive compensation at the award rate, starting salary of $60,000 to be reviewed after 3 months.
All necessary equipment will be provided to facilitate efficient remote work.
Incentives:
Enjoy one day off per month as an RDO (Rostered Day Off).

Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience in a help desk technician role or similar customer support position.
Tech Savvy: Familiarity with office automation products, databases, and remote control tools.
Computer Systems Knowledge: Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Customer-Oriented: Maintain a customer-oriented and professional approach even when dealing with challenging situations.
Education: Certificate IV in Information Technology preferred or equivalent experience
Reliable Vehicle and License
Must reside in the Newcastle/Hunter/Lake Macquarie region
