About the role

As the Supervisor - Workshop Fabrication at OEM Group, you will oversee and coordinate the fabrication activities in our state-of-the-art workshop located in Ascot, Western Australia. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of our custom-engineered solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Supervise and lead a team of skilled welders and fabricators to deliver quality fabricated products and components
• Develop and implement effective workshop processes and procedures to maximise productivity and efficiency
• Monitor and report on key performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
• Provide hands-on support and mentoring to the fabrication team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to excel
• Collaborate with the engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve any technical issues or non-conformances
• Ensure all fabrication activities adhere to safety protocols and relevant industry standards
• Participate in the planning and scheduling of fabrication jobs to meet customer requirements

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience (5+ years) in a supervisory role within a workshop or fabrication environment, preferably in the Trades & Services sector
• Strong technical expertise in welding and fabrication, with a keen eye for quality and attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to effectively manage and resolve fabrication challenges
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of skilled tradespeople
• Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and quality standards in the fabrication industry
• Proficient in the use of workshop tools, equipment and fabrication software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
