The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can work across the stack, contribute to key infrastructure and product delivery milestones, and operate autonomously within a small but high-output engineering team., contribute to key infrastructure and product delivery milestones, and operate autonomously within a small but high-output engineering team.

You’ll collaborate closely with our CTO and existing engineers to support multiple concurrent platform builds:

Core platform & API (Symfony + API Platform)

PRODA B2B onboarding workflows

Frontend applications (admin, onboarding, client-facing)

You’ll be expected to:

Become a productive contributor with minimal onboarding time — you should be comfortable operating independently within days, not weeks

Deliver production-grade code with auditability and maintainability in mind

Contribute to planning, architectural discussions, and pragmatic technical decision-making

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services and APIs (Symfony, Doctrine, MySQL)

Contribute to frontend development (Nuxt, Tailwind, TypeScript)

Operate within a containerised, service-oriented development environment (Docker, local orchestration)

Collaborate in platform planning, estimation, and resource prioritisation

Help establish internal developer workflows, code quality standards, and testing strategy

Skills & Experience

Required:

5+ years full stack development experience

Strong knowledge of PHP and TypeScript

Significant experience with backend frameworks (Symfony preferred, Laravel acceptable)

Experience with TypeScript on the frontend; Node.js is welcome on the backend

Strong knowledge of TypeScript and familiarity with frontend development using Nuxt, Vue.js, or equivalent modern frameworks

Demonstrated experience working in containerised development environments (Docker)

Understanding of service-oriented architecture

Clear communicator with a proven ability to operate independently and productively within remote teams

Desirable:

Experience integrating with government APIs (e.g., PRODA B2B)

Familiarity with secure, compliance-driven systems (finance, healthcare, etc.)

Experience with AWS CDK or infrastructure-as-code workflows

Exposure to serverless architecture patterns (e.g., Lambda, SQS, Step Functions)

Familiarity with ISO 27001 or security-conscious software delivery environments

Prior work in lean or early-stage engineering teams with high autonomy and broad scope

Nice to Have:

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows

Awareness of ECS or AWS container deployment patterns
