Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement core features for the Homer web application using Next.js (React) and TypeScript.

Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs (potentially using Next.js API routes or separate Node.js services on GCP Cloud Run or AWS).

Work extensively with PostgreSQL databases, leveraging DrizzleORM.

Integrate and manage user authentication via Firebase Authentication or AWS Cognito.

Collaborate on designing robust database schemas and efficient API endpoints.

Actively participate in our agile process: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Write clean, maintainable, testable, and high-quality code.

Contribute to the integration of various platform components, including our Chrome extension and external APIs (e.g., Stripe for future monetization).

Potentially contribute to the development and integration of data pipelines and AI-driven features.

Qualifications:

Proven experience delivering features as a Full Stack Developer in a commercial environment.

Strong proficiency in TypeScript – it's central to our stack.

Extensive experience building user interfaces with Next.js and React.

Solid understanding of Node.js for backend development.

Experience designing and working with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.

Experience with ORMs, preferably DrizzleORM.

Familiarity with cloud platforms and services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or AWS.

Experience building, deploying, and consuming RESTful APIs.

Experience implementing user authentication mechanisms (Firebase Authentication or AWS Cognito preferred).

Proficiency with Git version control and collaborative workflows (e.g., GitHub/GitLab).

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset suitable for an open environment.

Desired/Bonus Skills:

Experience developing Chrome extensions.

Experience with modern UI/UX implementation (Tailwind CSS, MUI).

Familiarity with background job processing systems (e.g., Upstash QStash, BullMQ).

Experience integrating with payment gateways like Stripe.

Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Google Cloud Build).

Basic understanding of, or keen interest in, Machine Learning concepts or infrastructure (Python, FastAPI could be relevant for future projects).
