About the role

As a Full Stack Developer at Optain, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining high-performance, scalable applications that support our cutting-edge healthcare technologies. You’ll work across the stack, contributing to both frontend and backend systems, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, design, and data science.

What you'll be doing

Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

Work on both frontend and backend development, integrating APIs and databases to deliver seamless user experiences.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to understand requirements and implement solutions.

Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.

Perform code reviews, debug issues, and optimize applications for performance and security.

Continuously improve development processes and recommend optimizations to enhance efficiency.

Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the application remains modern and competitive.

Required skills & experience

3-5 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a similar role.

Proficiency in TypeScript for frontend development.

Strong frontend development skills, including expertise in React and Bootstrap.

Contribute to testing efforts, ideally using the BDD approach with tools like Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, and Gherkin language

Experience with Python for backend services, scripting, or data processing.

Extensive experience with backend frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI.

Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and their implementation.

Hands-on experience with SQL databases, including PostgreSQL or MySQL.

Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS, and deployment tools like Docker.

Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control using Git, and agile development practices.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.

Effective communication and collaboration skills, enabling seamless teamwork.

Bonus points:

Experience developing Software as a Medical Device (SaMD)

Familiarity with regulated environments and secure coding practices
