About the role.
Joining our Bookkeeping & CFO Services team, our new Payroll Specialist will work closely with our Payroll Manager to learn the ins-and-outs of all things payroll. Our client base at Carbon is diverse, with businesses across various industries and of different sizes utilising our payroll services.
We're on the hunt for an experienced payroll specialist who has gained some knowledge in a previous payroll specialist role and wants to take on some new challenges and continue to grow.
We know that your learning and development is important to you, and it is to us as well. You'll be mentored throughout your journey, and have the opportunity to learn from experts in different fields.
Your day-to-day responsibilities.
Each day will vary, but some examples of what you can expect are:
- Processing payroll and super; End to end payroll processing on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis.
- Reconciliations for wages, super and annual leave; Monthly and annual reconciliation of Payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG and portable long service leave.
- Client contact, including responding to payroll queries in a timely manner.
- Setting up and processing of new starters, terminations and redundancies.
- Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and in accordance with the relevant employment contracts, awards and legislation. and
- Having fun!
About you.
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping preferred but not essential.
- 1-2 years experience in a similar role
- Capacity to work within a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to liaise with multiple clients.
- Experience with Xero/MYOB/Keypay (desirable, but if not we will teach you)
