The Opportunity

This role is central to enhancing the experience of our student-athletes by delivering tailored support services, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and leading the planning and execution of key events and programs. You’ll work closely with internal university teams, state and national sporting organisations, and our affiliate sporting clubs to deliver an environment that supports the academic and athletic success of UWA’s athletes.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver a suite of support services for student-athletes, including access to academic, health, and wellbeing programs.

Lead the delivery of key events and programs such as the UWA Sports Awards, Blues Awards, Team Maali events, athlete workshops, and professional development sessions.

Provide support and coordination for performance sport programs including the University Basketball League (UBL) and University Nationals.

About You

You have experience in stakeholder relationship management across sport or academic environments.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver events and programs.

Experience in a high-performance sporting environment and understanding of athlete needs.

Knowledge of student-athlete wellbeing considerations and athlete development frameworks.

Knowledge of the university and/or university sport sector is desirable.
