About this Opportunity

We're looking for a personable and collaborative Elite Athlete Program Officer, to join our professional and passionate team in part-time capacity (21 hours/week). This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to develop their career in supporting Student Athletes.

In this role you will be supporting the Elite Athlete Program Advisor in delivering the sporting scholarship, elite athlete program, and associated student-athlete support services for UQ through UQ Sport. You will be a superstar in building engaging relationship, communication, and time-management.

In this role you will:

Support the Elite Athlete and Sporting Scholarship program

Review Competition Subsidy applications in line with policy guidelines

Assist with reviewing elite athlete status request in line with policy guidelines

Support and assist eligible athletes to represent UQ at inter-varsity events

Contribute to communication and brand visibility for the Elite Athlete and Scholarship program

To be successful in the role you will have:

Tertiary qualifications in sports admin/management/education/psychology or related

Prior experience in a similar position with demonstrated knowledge of university sport and funding programs and elite athlete education network guiding principles.

First aid and CPR Certification

Mental Health First Aid Certification
