Artistic Swimming Western Australia (ASWA) is on an exciting journey to grow our Olympic sport across the state. We are seeking a motivated and community-minded Development Officer to help expand participation, support our clubs, and drive innovative grassroots programs.
About the Role
As Development Officer, you’ll be at the heart of ASWA’s growth and engagement strategy. Your work will focus on strengthening our presence in schools and communities, developing pathways for young athletes, and empowering coaches, officials, and clubs across WA.
What You'll Be Doing
· Deliver participation programs (e.g. school outreach, community 'Come & Try' sessions)
· Collaborate with clubs to boost recruitment, and club development
· Support and organise coach workshops
· Work closely with stakeholders to improve inclusion and access to Artistic Swimming across Western Australia
· Represent ASWA at promotional events and build partnerships with schools, councils, pools and local organisations
· Report on KPIs and contribute to funding applications and grant reporting
We’re Looking For Someone Who…
· Has a passion for sport development and community engagement
· Is self-motivated, organised, and a great communicator
· Can work flexibly, and this includes travel across Western Australia
· Has experience in sport program delivery, coaching, or education.
· Understands (or is willing to learn about) Artistic Swimming and its unique value
· Brings a solutions-focused mindset and enjoys working collaboratively
