Full Time Senior Receptionist with Practice Management Experience
Therapy House
Posted 21 days ago
About us
We understand that working at reception in a medical centre can be stressful and chaotic and is often set in highly clinical spaces. In our private practice, our passion is trying to slow down where possible and provide long term and continuous care to our staff as well as clients. We take pride in the homely feel of our practice, and our team culture of quirky, diverse and passionate people.
Therapy House is a clinic located in Brisbane's leafy suburb, The Gap, only 8km away from the city centre. We have collected years of wisdom on what makes for a pleasant workplace and have 8 clinicians who work varying days with children, adolescents and adults. Our Admin team are considered a huge part of our success and pride, and they are involved with planning and marketing to our local healthcare providers and schools!
About the role
We are looking for a confident senior receptionist who is passionate about client care and organisation. As our full-time administrator, you will work daily at the front of house desk to check in our clients, process payments and book appointments, ensuring the practice is operating smoothly to home our families throughout the day. You will field phone and email enquiries, as well as following up and processing our third-party payments and Medicare documentation.
This role also includes networking and building relationships with our referrers, looking for new avenues to support clients and ways to service our growing referral base. Our admin team organise regular lunches with our local GP clinics and contribute towards organising our team events for everyone to connect.
You will have some weekly support from our casual reception staff and interact frequently with our management team to ensure that operational tasks are completed in line with clinical processes and improve processes where you see possible. We love innovation and efficiency, so we are excited to find somebody who is looking to take the reins and enjoy some independence in learning and improving our processes.
Working at the front desk can be a nice mixture of routine and variety, as well as interaction and solitude. If you consider yourself self-motivated, this is more likely to be a role that will fulfill you, given you are the glue that pulls the day to day together while the clinicians focus on seeing their clients.
Why Therapy House?
We are a clinic who prides ourselves on offering a unique space to our staff and clients. As the first voice somebody hears or the first face that our clients see on arrival, most admin staff want to work for an organisation they can believe in and advocate for! We carefully select our clinicians and so you can be assured that you are connecting people with a skilled allied health professional.
We don’t just encourage our clients to be their authentic self, but we want our team to be who they are as well. We support each other and enjoy shared lunch breaks for those who are keen for connection and chatter.
You can also use our full kitchen facilities over breaks to enjoy a cup of tea or meal prep if that is your jam, while enjoying the green outlook from our lunchroom.
If you want to be part of something important, you like a small business feel, with more independence and space compared with a busy medical centre, we could be the right fit for you!
