THE OPPORTUNITY
Salary: $78,564 - $111,391 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).
Time Fraction: Part Time, 2 x 0.15 EFT. (Wednesdays afternoon).
Location: Chadstone campus - onsite parking and close proximity to public transport.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
Position Status: Ongoing contract of appointment with a 6-month qualifying period.
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Fashion Teachers to deliver high-quality vocational education and training at Holmesglen, specifically for the MST20722 Certificate II in Apparel and Fashion. This role involves the development and delivery of engaging learning and assessment resources tailored to diverse student needs. As a key member of our teaching team, you will actively manage the learning process, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to a collaborative and student-focused environment that supports successful learning outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and deliver engaging, industry-relevant fashion training programs using innovative teaching methods tailored to diverse learner needs.
- Develop high-quality fashion-specific learning resources and assessment tools in line with current trends and standards.
- Provide fashion-focused workplace training and assessment.
- Maintain industry and teaching currency through ongoing professional development and contribute to course improvement, compliance, and quality assurance processes.
ABOUT YOU
- Hold a relevant fashion qualification (at or above Certificate II level) and a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
- Possess up-to-date industry skills and knowledge of current fashion trends, practices and technologies.
- Experienced in designing and delivering engaging, flexible learning using contemporary teaching and assessment methods.
- Knowledgeable in VET sector standards, training packages and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in using digital tools and ICT to support student learning across diverse delivery modes.
- Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills, with the ability to support a wide range of learners and collaborate with industry partners.

The Design and Finishing Trades department is responsible for the training and delivery of a range of programs in fashion and interior design, furniture manufacturing, design and upholstery, trowel trades, painting and printing.
