Your New Opportunity:
Join the dynamic team at Carey Mining! We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to be part of our Malaga head office. This role is a 6-month fixed term contract a Monday to Friday schedule with the flexibility of a potential work-from-home day.
Key Duties Will Include:
The preparation of year-end statutory financial statements.
Manage the year-end audit, including liaising with external auditors.
Assist with writing technical accounting papers
Preparation of the monthly BAS returns.
On an ad hoc basis, assist with the preparation of the month-end, including AR invoicing, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
About You:
3+ years of experience in a similar position.
Strong knowledge, proven experience, and understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
Strong attention to detail.
Confident in communicating with both internal and external stakeholders
Qualified Accountant.
Nice-to-haves:
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Excel.
Experience with statutory reporting.
Audit experience.
