• Senior Test Analyst | Federal Government Organisation | July 1 start
• Based in Canberra | Hybrid working - 50% Office / WFH
• $110-125/hour | 6 Month initial contract + extensions

As the Senior Test Analyst, you will be part of an ongoing capability that provides Quality Assurance services for new digital product developments and major enhancements.

You will be involved in delivering testing activities and maintaining alignment with the branch's delivery strategy for new or enhanced applications. One of your key responsibilities will be to work with multi-disciplinary small application development and support teams, business analysts, data analytics specialists and end user representatives from each relevant business domain.

During execution of the test phase of initiatives, you will play an active role, involving the planning and design of test cases. You will also participate where required to undertake test cases and report results, providing hands-on expertise.

• Test planning

• Creating software testing documents
• Detecting and analysing software defects
• Drafting reports on tests completed
• Participating in the development process
• Provides training on quality processes
• Regression testing
• Reviewing software requirements
• Use automation tools to increase test coverage

Technical skills

• Understanding of testing methodologies.
• Using testing techniques.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to do root-cause-analysis of software defects.
• Good communication skills within and across teams.
• Basic experience of using test automation tools.
