Parks and Wildlife Service promote and support nature and culture-based tourism opportunities on CALM Act land.
The Nature-based Tourism Division is the point of contact for departmental staff and the tourism industry to facilitate sustainable, nature and culture-based commercial tourism and attractions on national, marine and conservation parks and reserves managed by the Parks and Wildlife Service.
We are currently seeking a Aboriginal Tourism Coordinator to join our team.
The Aboriginal Tourism Coordinator plans, coordinates and facilitates Aboriginal tourism outcomes in parks by working collaboratively with joint and cooperative management partners, Aboriginal tourism businesses and partner organisations. Responsible for planning and delivering awareness raising to support Aboriginal tourism, and, together with our partners, for creating opportunities for Aboriginal people to be involved in providing tourism and visitor services in parks.

Selection Criteria
- Considerable knowledge of and experience in working successfully with Aboriginal traditional owners, preferably in Tourism.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with Aboriginal people and communities, as well as with internal and external stakeholder individuals and organisations.
- Demonstrated high level of written and oral communication skills and the ability to use computer software for word processing.
- Demonstrated ability to think analytically, problem-solve, negotiate to achieve outcomes and to work with initiative and minimal supervision.
