About the role

The Team Leader – Library Customer Experience works within the Creative and Engaged City Department and supervises the library and program officer teams who are based at the Springvale Community Hub and Dandenong Library. They will also be working within the new Community Hub in Keysborough, currently under construction.

Your primary purpose in this position is to:

· Develop, lead and maintain a team who celebrate outstanding library user experiences

· Lead initiatives that develop and enhance a library users' experience

· Supervise effective and efficient front-line library services which address community needs

· Lead, train and motivate the front-line team to provide a responsive and flexible community focused service

· Provide specialist advice for the development of programs and services that focus on developing the skills of the community and the library team

About you

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience leading and motivating a large team. They will be able to communicate clearly, work collaboratively and advocate on behalf of a diverse group of people. They will have experience in successful program and project delivery and will be able to work within defined operational workflows. A background in library services and understanding of library trends is desirable.

You may be required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.

The successful candidate will be asked to produce a valid Working with Children Check and will be asked to consent to a national police check (and where relevant an 'international criminal history check'), subject to the operation of spent conviction laws.
