The Role
The role of a Business Analyst is key in software development, you will act as the bridge between the Customer’s business process requirements and the technical delivery of the Developer team.
Within this role you will work closely with our customers, Service delivery and Developer teams to uplift the solution and support our customer’s business growth and function.
Collaborate with subject matter experts both internally and with the Customer to gather, validate, and define process requirements, errors, new development, and training requirements.
Assist project planning and ensuring project timelines are met.
Provide progress updates and drive action to meet critical deadlines.
Elicit and document process models, detailing current state processes and developing and proposing future state processes.
Analyse, scope and document user and system requirements for projects and products as required. This includes facilitating stakeholder engagement and client training.
Collaborate with the technical teams to ensure the solutions meet business requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
Develop, deliver and support complex reporting needs both internally in our solution and via Power BI.

Your proactive approach to understanding client needs will add measurable value to our client relationships and fit well with our organisation's culture.
You will have a healthy appetite to learn new technologies and be comfortable working with customers over the phone.
Full training is provided and once you are comfortable in the role, Hybrid working is available.

The ability to talk to a wide range of different people with differing levels of technological expertise regarding technical concepts.
Demonstrated ability to effectively elicit, interpret, analyse and translate complex business information from stakeholders into documented solutions.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in plain English.
Ability and willingness to solve problems independently.
Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
A troubleshooting mindset, willing to explore and define the parameters of an issue.
MUST HAVE full working rights via appropriate current VISA to work full-time within Australia - and available to commence work in Brisbane within 2-4 weeks of being offered the role.
Qualification requirements
A degree in Business or with a Major in Business or commerce is required for the role.
Desirable Experience and Skills
Additional study or experience in ITC or software is highly regarded.
Experience in finance is highly regarded.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Project Management or similar role within a technology-focused environment.
Experience in gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
Experience in analysing complex inter-connected IT environments
Experience in Software as a Service (SaaS), Testing , Defect and Triage, Change management.
Experience in end-to-end program and project delivery.
Understanding or experience in resource management, CRM, logistics, fresh food, distribution, stock management, retail systems is beneficial.
