About the role

As the Family Day Care Service Manager at Wynnum Family Daycare, you will play a vital role in leading and managing our Family Day Care service. This is a full-time position based in Wynnum, QLD. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring our service meets all regulatory requirements, and driving the continued growth and development of our family day care program.

What you'll be doing

Providing strong leadership and management of the Family Day Care service, including leading the supervision and support of Family Day Care educators

Ensuring the service meets all relevant regulations, standards, and quality requirements

Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance the service

Overseeing the recruitment, induction, and ongoing professional development of Family Day Care educators

Managing the service's administration, including enrolments, fees, and record-keeping

Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with families, educators, and key stakeholders

Continuously monitoring and evaluating the service to identify areas for improvement.

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field and be willing to accept the role of FDC Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Law Application Bill 2010 and Education and Care National Regulations

Proven Experience in a leadership or management role within the childcare, family day care sector or an equivalent sector or a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Coordinator in FDC or a Coordinator/lead in an equivalent Compliance/Coordinator role

Thorough knowledge of the National Quality Framework, regulations, and quality standards for early childhood education and care

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families, educators, and stakeholders

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure

Experienced in HR, Performance and Development Programs

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams

Commitment to continuous quality improvement and a passion for providing a high-quality service
