About the role:
As Sales Director at AVA Advisory, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving business growth by developing and executing sales strategies that connect our financial expertise with the SMBs that need it most. This is a leadership role that requires a strategic thinker with a strong sales acumen, experience in professional services, and a passion for helping businesses succeed.
You’ll be responsible for leading our national sales function, identifying new market opportunities, building high-value partnerships, and inspiring a small but growing team to achieve outstanding results.
What you will do
Develop and implement a scalable, results-driven sales strategy aligned with AVA Advisory’s mission and growth targets
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Australia, with a focus on SMBs in need of financial advisory or restructuring services
Build and nurture long-term relationships with accounting firms, legal professionals, referral partners, and key decision-makers within the SMB sector
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sales team with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and client outcomes
Grow the firm by attending events
Bring and grow your existing network and referral base
Analyse market trends, client needs, and competitor insights to continuously refine sales tactics and offerings
Represent AVA Advisory at industry events, networking forums, and strategic presentations to elevate brand presence and credibility
Collaborate with the marketing and advisory teams to create aligned campaigns and tailored sales materials
Report regularly to the CEO and leadership team on sales performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives
About you
You’re a dynamic and motivated sales leader with a minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in B2B sales, ideally within professional or financial services
You have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by Australian SMBs and are passionate about delivering real value and solutions
You are commercially minded, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding ambitious sales targets
You are a relationship builder who thrives on connecting with people and uncovering opportunities through trust and integrity
You are confident presenting at a boardroom level, with excellent communication and negotiation skills
You are proactive, strategic, and resilient. Ready to roll up your sleeves in a growing business environment
Experience in insolvency, restructuring, or financial advisory is highly regarded
