Engineering Sales Specialist
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Sales Specialist to join our team.
You will be responsible for liaising with consulting engineers to raise awareness of screw piles as an alternative to concrete bored piers.
You will assist the CEO and the sales team in optimising sales processes, implementing key performance measures, and enhancing lead conversion to achieve sales targets in target markets.
The role requires a qualified engineer with experience in at least one of the following building and construction industries: residential, energy, and modular industries. Experience in all three industries would be well regarded.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with consulting engineers to promote the use of screw piles.
Conduct presentations and technical workshops to educate engineers about the benefits and application of screw piles.
Identify and pursue opportunities to have screw piles specified instead of concrete bored piers.
Provide technical support and guidance to consulting engineers regarding the design and installation of screw piles.
Develop and document efficient sales processes.
Measure and monitor sales performance and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Support the sales team in lead qualification and conversion strategies.
Collaborate with marketing to ensure a consistent flow of warm leads.
Train sales staff on new processes and performance measures.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
Provide feedback to the sales and estimating teams based on interactions with consulting engineers and market needs.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in engineering sales, design and development.
Experience in the residential, energy and modular industries.
Strong understanding of foundation design principles and practices.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to develop and implement sales processes.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Understanding of sales performance metrics and KPIs.
