The Role
Korowa Anglican Girls’ School seeks to appoint a highly experienced leader as our Chief Information and Data Officer. The position will work collaboratively to refine and implement a new IT and data strategy. This is a rare opportunity to join the Executive Team at one of Melbourne’s leading independent schools and make a meaningful impact on the lives of students and staff.
As CIO, you will report directly to the Principal, be a member of a dynamic executive team, work with the School Council and provide leadership across all IT functions (including ICT, data and insights, AV, database management and your will support e-learning solutions).
You will lead the design and implementation of IT strategies that align with the school’s strategic direction, enhance operational efficiency, and improve digital experiences for students, staff, and the broader school community.
Possessing exceptional interpersonal skills and capability to lead the journey and optimise the School’s IT systems, processes and enterprise architecture to enable effective outcomes within budget.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in leading IT transformation in a complex organisational environment with the capability to develop team members and engage with stakeholders to achieve outcomes in a phased approach.
We require a minimum of 5 years executive-level experience as a CIO or equivalent with experience in a school environment.
Post graduate qualifications in Information Technology or a related field are required with strong expertise in cybersecurity, cloud systems, data governance, and ITIL-aligned service management.
Experience working effectively with Boards, School Councils, or similar governance bodies and the ability to develop strategy, budgets and business cases is essential.
The appointee will have exceptional interpersonal and leadership capability, combining high emotional intelligence with a willingness to learn, challenge the status quo respectfully and successfully manage outcomes and programs of work.
