About BD Solutions:

BD Solutions Consulting are a engineering consultancy providing building remedial services to a variety of customers, from residential strata to commercial. We have dozens of projects, valued from $100k-$2m+, underway across greater Sydney and Illawarra areas, from Manly to Penrith and down to Kiama (south coast). We are seeking building remedial engineers and project managers with experience in engineering and project management, to join our growing company. The Miranda Office services all sydney projects and the Wollongong office services our projects in the illawarre and south coast. You have the opportunity for flexibility to work from either office or just one depending on how much exposure you want. Company car is provided for all site visits and can be picked up from the office for site inspections.

About the role:

Own remedial projects from start to finish;

Conduct site inspections and prepare technical defect inspection reports;

Develop technical remediation plans and scope of work documentation;

Assess contractor tender submissions and prepare technical recommendation letters;

Oversee remedial work at key hold points, process variations and provide technical solutions to emergent problems;

Great mix of project management, site inspections and engineering design;

Our office is based in Wollongong and Sydney;

Site visits around Sydney and Wollongong (depending on which office you are based in);

Work towards obtaining your CPeng accreditation with support from BDSC (optional);

Work towards becoming a Design Building Practitioner under the NSW DBPA legislation (optional);

Build positive relationships with our clients and suppliers;

About you:

Self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision (but fully supported when required);

Degree qualified structural/civil engineer (or close to completed, pending experience in the field), or;

Qualified and experienced project manager (diploma, Prince2, PMBoK etc)

Experience with building construction;

Ability to register as a Design Building Practitioner (or already registered);

Ability to drive to and attend site;

Ability to conduct site inspections, engage with contractors;

Comfortable working with Microsoft office (Word & Excel);

Great communication and people skills.

Advanced level of English, written and verbal.
