Are you detail-driven, proactive, and passionate about building systems that support exceptional care?
Thrive Medical is seeking a knowledgeable and organised Quality & Compliance Officer to help embed quality, safety and risk systems across our multidisciplinary medical organisation. This part-time (0.2 FTE – 1 day per week) role offers the opportunity to work closely with both clinical and executive leadership, influencing key outcomes across our General Practice, Imaging, Allied Health and Care Services.
Whether you’re a compliance professional or a Registered Nurse ready to pivot into a non-clinical quality role, this is your chance to make a real impact in a supportive, community-focused organisation.
About the Role
As the Quality & Compliance Officer, you’ll lead and coordinate a range of quality improvement, accreditation, and safety activities. You will be a key member of both our Quality Team and WHS Team, and report directly to the CEO for strategic quality outcomes.
Key duties include:
Leading the preparation and maintenance of AGPAL General Practice accreditation
Supporting organisational compliance with NDIS, Aged Care and Diagnostic Imaging Standards
Conducting and coordinating internal audits (e.g. file audits, privacy, credentialing)
Facilitating monthly quality and WHS meetings, and following up on actions
Overseeing incident reporting, risk registers, and quality improvement initiatives
Assisting with the review of policies, procedures, and organisational documentation
Preparing quarterly quality and risk reports for the CEO and leadership team
You’ll play a pivotal role in promoting a positive safety culture, strengthening our risk frameworks, and ensuring we meet or exceed all accreditation and compliance benchmarks.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Experienced in accreditation, compliance, or quality management in healthcare, aged care, or NDIS
Confident with regulatory standards including AGPAL, WHS legislation, NDIS Practice Standards, and Australian Privacy Principles
Organised, detail-oriented, and self-directed
Able to communicate clearly and build strong relationships with clinical and admin teams
Looking to contribute strategically in a collaborative, values-led environment
Highly desirable:
Registered Nurse or compliance background
Qualifications in health admin, compliance, or risk
Familiarity with clinical systems and internal auditing processes
