About the role

Supportability Care Services is seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Rockhampton, QLD. In this casual role, you will play a vital part in providing compassionate and high-quality care to individuals with diverse abilities, helping them to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting clients to participate in community-based activities and social events
• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their individual needs are met
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to client care

What we're looking for

• Relevant experience in the disability support or aged care sector, or a strong desire to work in this field
• A genuine passion for supporting individuals with diverse abilities and empowering them to live independently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with clients and their families
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to address client needs
• A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualifications, or the ability to work towards this
• Valid Blue Card (Working with Children), or able to obtain this card.
• Valid Yellow Card (NDIS Worker Screening), or able to obtain this card.
