About the role

Saving Grace Supports PTY LTD is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Tuan QLD 4650. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate actively in their community. This is a casual work arrangement, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote client wellbeing and community engagement

Advocating for client needs and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised support plans

Providing transportation and accompanying clients to appointments, social outings, or other community events

Maintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure the continuum of care

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of care

What we're looking for

A demonstrated commitment to the Aged & Disability Support industry, with previous experience in a similar role

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to effectively address client needs

A caring, patient, and empathetic approach, with a genuine passion for improving the lives of individuals with disabilities

Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent

A current driver's licence and access to reliable transportation

A national police check
