About the role

This is a full-time Leading Saw Operator position at Jack Engineering in Hastings, Victoria. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for operating specialised industrial saws to cut and prepare materials for our manufacturing processes. Your expertise and leadership in this area will be crucial to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production line.

What you'll be doing

Operating various industrial saws to cut materials to precise specifications

Operating CNC Beamline and relevant software

Setting up, calibrating and maintaining saws to ensure optimal performance

Inspecting workpieces to ensure they meet quality standards

Monitoring the production line and identifying any issues or bottlenecks

Adhering to all company health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Valid Forklift licence and proven driving experience (essential to the role)

Industry experience as a Saw Operator, or similar, in a manufacturing environment

Excellent mechanical aptitude, problem-solving and mathematical skills

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and various cutting lists, ensuring correct nesting for best use of material

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Excellent communication skills

Relevant trade certification or qualifications
