COMPANY

This represents a rare opportunity with an incredible high end residential builder based in Brisbane. This company is highly regarded in the construction industry for the projects they deliver. Led by a visionary Director, this company is well positioned to continue their rapid growth in a sustainable manner.

POSITION

Due to internal restructuring, the position of Financial Controller has been created.

This role will involve and not be limited to:

• Manage an experienced Senior Bookkeeper and report directly to the Managing Director
• Preparation and ongoing management of the company's finance function
• Liaising with external accountants
• Maintaining relationships with external stakeholders and financial institutions
• Month end accounting and reporting
• Processing, lodgement and management of payroll, FBT, BAS, AP, AR
• Preparation of timely and accurate management accounts
• Ongoing cashflow analysis

CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• CA/CPA Qualified
• 7+ years' accounting experience within the construction industry
• Public Practice experience considered if there is exposure to clients in the construction industry
• Proficiency with QBCC matters
• IT Savvy
• Very stable employment history (non negotiable)
• Ability to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Energetic and motivated personality with great multi-tasking
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• A self starter who is able to work in a standalone finance team
• Experience with Xero and Buildertrend would be highly desirable
