We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Auditor to play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional audit services to our clients and contributing to the evolution of our innovative platform. Reporting directly to the Payroll Audit Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our audit processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Independently perform comprehensive payroll audits for clients, leveraging our advanced audit methodologies and tech.

Demonstrate a proactive and hands-on approach, with a willingness to assist with necessary operational tasks, including data entry and other routine activities, to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of audits

Provide guidance and mentorship to audit team members on best practices and efficient audit execution. Review their work for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to our quality standards.

Ensure all client audit deadlines are met with exceptional quality and professionalism.

Conduct in-depth research on relevant industry awards and legislation, translating complex requirements into practical audit assumptions for client validation.

Critically review and approve completed audits, ensuring accuracy and providing insightful findings.

Produce clear, concise, and actionable audit reports that effectively communicate findings to clients.

Assist in the preparation, review, and analysis of special reports, identifying key trends and providing informed advice to management.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Accounting/Finance degree or equivalent qualification.

Minimum 5 years' progressive experience in payroll, with demonstrable experience in conducting payroll audits.

Comprehensive understanding of a wide range of common Modern Awards and their practical application.

Familiarity with the interpretation and application of Enterprise Agreements.

Exceptional accuracy and a meticulous approach to reviewing payroll data and documentation.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.

Proven ability to manage time effectively and consistently meet tight deadlines.

Up-to-date expertise in payroll standards, taxation regulations, and evolving legislation.

Proficient in reviewing various payroll-related documents (contracts, payslips, timesheets, agreements) to identify discrepancies and potential risks.

A flexible and pragmatic approach with a willingness to contribute to both strategic tasks and necessary operational duties.
