We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Marketing and Communications Coordinator who shares our values to join our team in Broome.

Qualifications & experience

Essential

Graphic design and desktop publishing skills

Social media and other online content creation

Experience in managing media and writing content

Minimum 3 years' experience in similar role

Demonstrated cultural safety

Understanding of the unique culture of the Kimberley region, including the diversity of cultures within rural, remote and very remote communities which make up this region.

Tasks & responsibilities

Understand how your role can ultimately support participants, staff and other stakeholders through the provision of information in accessible and culturally safe formats.

Demonstrate and promote organizational values consistent with the principles and NDIS values.

Create and promote opportunities for people from diverse identity and cultural backgrounds, particularly people with lived experience, to contribute to marketing material.

Drive data-informed improvements to communication about the organization's services.

Build collaborative relationships and partnerships with advocacy groups, cultural advocates, community leaders, service providers, government, health and community services where relevant to your role.

Implement safe systems of work and ensure that staff are able and encouraged to identify and manage workplace safety risks for participants, themselves, and others at events.

Model your commitment to building a learning culture and actively support other organisational leaders and managers to engage in lifelong learning and reflective practice.

Establish systems to regularly collect participant and staff satisfaction feedback.

Maintain accessible website with accurate and up to date information on staff, services, price guide and other relevant information.

Manage internal communications including newsletters and updates to staff, participants, their families and other stakeholders.

Develop and graphic design marketing and promotional material for the organization.

Manage all social media content.

Maintain stock of marketing and promotional material.

Take a lead role in involving and promoting the organisation at community, recruitment, NAIDOC, Reconciliation and disability specific days and events

Oversee the accessible events guide.

Collation of content and graphic design of annual reports, signage, other reports and material to demonstrate Far North Community Servies values, vision, mission and services.
