About this position:

The Kingborough Council is offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic and self‐motivated individual to join its Statutory Planning team as Planning Technical Officer.

Responsibilities for this key role include assisting with planning enquiries from the public (on the telephone and at the customer service counter), providing administrative support to the team including assisting in the public notice process, and working towards processing minor planning applications.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated commitment and experience in providing high-level customer service. You will also have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time and work priorities, as well as proficiency in MS Office applications. The role is full-time and is suited to someone who is currently completing a qualification in planning. A comprehensive, on-the-job training program will be provided upon commencement.

The role is full-time with the commencement salary in the range of $77,769 - $87,843 per annum (full-time equivalent), plus 12.5% employer superannuation contribution.
