Eildon Boat Club

$130,000 - $140,000 pa plus superannuation, company vehicle and manager’s residence including all outgoings.

This is a Full Time position - It is a non-negotiable requirement that the General Manager must reside on site at the Eildon Boat Club, and the Club will provide as part of this role appropriate onsite accommodation (house) rent free including all outgoings.

As we continue to uphold our legacy of excellence, we are seeking a dynamic General Manager to join our team.

This senior position contributes to a variety of critical activities dedicated to the club’s operational and financial management.

Reporting to the Commodore/Board of Directors, this role is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Club. Ensure the smooth day-to-day operations, including managing staff, members, and maintaining high standards of service.

Management of the financial and strategic objectives of the Board is pivotal to the success of this role and the club maintaining its reputation as the premier club on Lake Eildon.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for all aspects of the effective and efficient running of the club

Enhancing member experience by ensuring exceptional service quality, addressing feedback, and implementing improvements

Creating, implementing, and monitoring budgets and being accountable for the overall profitability and financial management

Representing the Club within the community, local businesses, and industry

Taking an active role in monthly Meetings – in particular related to financial analysis, preparation of presentations and information packs etc.

Project managing and accountability for Capital Project Works including financial due diligence

Establishing and enforcing club policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations regarding health, safety, and licensing.

Key Skills

The highest level of computer literacy with excellent financial analysis and modelling skills

High level communication skills both written and verbal

Experience in customer service and stakeholder management

Strong leadership and management skills

Financial analysis, understanding and reporting

Prior experience in hospitality services and hospitality management

Skills in delivery of multi-year capital projects

Adaptable to changing requirements/needs
