The Spotswood Kingsville RSL is on the look out for a superstar part time chef to run the kitchen!! This isn’t just another chef role- there will be plenty of development opportunity for the right person- we are looking for someone to help lead the RSL into the next phase- which is sure to be a very exciting one.
All this, while contributing to a very worthwhile charity.
Job Role
Assist Management with creating a great menu including promotions, special event items and seasonal menu items.
Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation of dishes.
Lead, mentor, and manage junior kitchen staff to ensure high levels of food quality and kitchen efficiency.
Manage food costing, inventory control, and ordering of supplies to maintain profitability.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
What we need from you
· First and most importantly, we ask for commitment, dedication and a great work ethic.
Experience as a chef or in a senior kitchen position, preferably in a pub or sports bar setting.
Experience with menu development and cost management.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to multi task and work as part of a team.
Relevant culinary qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
The RSL will be open Friday evening, Saturday for lunch and dinner and Sunday lunchtime. Please do not apply if these hours don't suit you.
