We are currently seeking a Part-Time Commis Chef to join our kitchen team at Peppers Docklands in Melbourne. This position is ideal for someone passionate about culinary arts and looking to grow their skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment. The role offers 2–4 working days per week, making it suitable for individuals seeking flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist senior chefs in food preparation and cooking across various kitchen sections

Ensure consistent food quality and presentation

Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace in compliance with food safety standards

Support the kitchen team with daily operations and mise en place

Learn and grow by rotating through different kitchen duties

Requirements:

Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage, but not essential

Passion for food, willingness to learn, and a team-oriented mindset

Availability to work 2–4 days per week, including weekends or public holidays if required

Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure
