Fox Personnel has been engaged by our client, a respected name in high-quality beverages and sustainable manufacturing, who is seeking a passionate and proactive OHS Officer to lead the development and implementation of a workplace safety program across our Wangaratta and surrounding operations.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Department , you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) programs and policies. You'll act as the key liaison for WorkSafe and lead initiatives that promote a safe, healthy, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain a company-wide OHS program
Promote a positive safety culture through training and regular engagement
Conduct risk assessments and manage hazards using the hierarchy of control
Investigate incidents and manage reporting obligations
Lead emergency planning and WorkCover claims, including return-to-work coordination
Stay abreast of changes to relevant legislation, compliance codes, and Australian standards
Represent the organisation’s values and commitment to employee wellbeing
About You
Essential:
Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety, or minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Confident with basic computer systems and reporting tools
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Current driver's licence
Preferred:
Demonstrated leadership or team management experience
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
Level 2 First Aid certification
