My client provides commercial HVAC services across Victoria.
With safety at the core of their operations, they are seeking a motivated OHS officer to manage the compliance.

As the OHS Officer, you’ll work closely with field technicians, subcontractors, and leadership team across both Victoria and Tasmania to implement and monitor effective safety systems tailored to the commercial HVAC industry.

The role:

• Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments across commercial HVAC job sites
• Developing and reviewing SWMS and permits for high-risk activities (e.g. crane lifts, confined space work, refrigerants)
• Implement and maintain existing procedures and policies and develop new ones in consultative way, managing the improvement process and identification of actions
• Deliver toolbox talks, and ongoing OHS training
• Identifying opportunities to improve safety culture across all levels of the project
• Provide advice and support to supervisors and managers regarding HSEQ issue
• Conduct investigation of hazards, incidents, injuries or near misses
• Maintaining up-to-date safety documentation, training records, and registers
• Promote and deliver a culture of safety excellence and continuous improvement across all projects

Requirements:

• White card
• Experience in a similar OHS/WHS role, ideally within mechanical services
• Strong communication skills

Salary: $90,000 to $120,000 + Super
