About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and results-driven Sales Representative to join a well-established Japanese organisation specialising in industrial solutions. This full-time role is primarily field-based, covering the Brisbane metropolitan area with occasional travel to regional Queensland. You will play a key role in developing relationships, driving sales growth, and supporting our distribution network.
Reporting to the National Business Manager, you will work collaboratively with another Area Sales Manager to manage and grow the Queensland territory. This role is based out of our South Brisbane office, located near major arterial roads, with free on-site parking provided.
Your primary focus will be managing relationships with our distributor partners, while also supporting end users through onsite visits, product demonstrations, and technical support. A dedicated demonstration trailer is available for customer presentations and training sessions.
This position includes a fully maintained company vehicle, laptop, and mobile phone.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow sales across a defined Queensland territory
Conduct regular visits to distributors and end users to drive engagement, training, and product promotion
Meet and exceed agreed sales targets and performance objectives
Identify new business opportunities, including potential distributor partnerships
Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Prepare quotations, process orders, and follow up on customer enquiries when required
Identify opportunities to up-sell and expand product use within existing accounts
Build and maintain strong, long-term business relationships
Requirement for this role:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in B2B sales, account management, or customer service
A strong track record of achieving sales targets in a competitive environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong technical aptitude and experience in solution-based selling
The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team-oriented environment
Sound computer literacy; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle or JDE) is advantageous
A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a commitment to delivering value to customers
