The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Stores Coordinator to join our team in our modern, well-equipped workshop in Portsmith, Cairns. This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week - Monday to Friday) offering long-term stability and the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive environment. You will report directly to the Sales Manager and play a crucial role in our daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Efficiently manage all aspects of the stores and parts procurement process.

Accurately process job sheets and sales orders related to inventory.

Maintain precise stock control and inventory records.

Conduct regular inventory management and asset management duties.

Source and procure parts as required, ensuring timely availability.

Organize and maintain the stores area to ensure efficiency and safety.

Receive and dispatch goods, verifying quantities and condition.

Liaise with suppliers and internal teams regarding parts and stock.

Contribute to a safe and professional working environment.

About You – What We're Looking For:

Essential:

Demonstrated commitment to working in a safe and professional manner.

A methodical and organised approach to work.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team, with minimal supervision.

A genuine willingness to learn and expand your skills.

A clear Australian Federal Police (AFP) check history.

Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol (D&A) tests as required.

Desirable (Not Essential but an Advantage):

Previous experience in stores/parts procurement.

Experience within the marine or mining sectors.

Prior experience in the fluid power or engineering industries.

Trade background (tradespeople looking to transition off the tools are encouraged to apply).
