Due to growth and multiple new ongoing 5 year contracts our National Fire Contracting Company is looking to employ Passive Fire Door Maintenace Service Techs Cert 3 in Carpentering to join their business in a permanent role focussing on 3 sites in Brisbane CBD, Toowong and Gatton, one week a month will be night shift from Monday to Thursday from 9pm to 4am paying $124 an hour and $230 per weel allowance will full pay on a Friday per month on stand down. The other 3 x weeks of the month you will be working Monday to Friday day shift. ON offer is a RDO per month. Must be QBCC licenceds for Passive Doors. Job Summary

Service and maintenace of passive fire systems and fire rated treatments

Some installation of serviced penetrations and access panels

Reading specifications and interpreting plans for systems

Follow all WHS procedures

Demonstrate experience as a Passive Fire Technician or similar role.

Demonstrate knowledge of passive fire systems, including:

Fire-rated walls and fire compartments,

Fire- rated doors,

Fire Dampers,

and Passive Penetration Seals.

Demonstrate a basic understanding of Australian standards and regulations.

Demonstrate the ability to solve problems on the run.

Demonstrate clear and precise communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrate a strong team player attitude with the ability to work autonomously at times.

Valid driver's license.

Industry or Trade Accreditation advantageous

About You:

Experience in the fire industry particularly across passive fire

Certificate III in Carpentry

Knowledge of the Australian Standards relevant to the fire protection industry

The ability to work un-supervised and self-manage stock and equipment necessary to carry out his or her duties.

A good understanding and working of Australian Standards (AS1670 and AS1851)

5 or more years working with the fire industry in a similar role.

Trade qualification as an Carpenter or Cert 2 or 3 in Fire Protection a must.

Have good presentation and work ethic. Clean and tidy presentation for customers

Fully maintained vehicle. Uniforms, Ipad, Iphone, Tools, Car Allowance available at 12k + Fuel Card + Tolls

Must have strong written and verbal English skills.

White card (OHS Induction)

The Fire Technician will be working closely with clients on site and should enjoy interaction with clients.

Will be currently working in a business with an established market history, our client requires a person who is "field orientated".
