The opportunity
Veritas foods is seeking a passionate and dedicated Kitchen Hand/Preparation Cook to join our team in Homebush, NSW. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our talented chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers.

Variable position are available in the production area :

Full time and Part time dishwasher ( washing trays and equipment)

Piping assistant Part time 24-35 hours per week ( training will be provided) Piping puree into trays

Kitchen assistant 24-30 hours per week (help and cook food preparation)

What you'll be doing

Assist our chefs with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping and dicing vegetables and other ingredients

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring all work surfaces, equipment and utensils are kept spotless

Accurately follow recipes and preparation instructions provided by the chefs

Stock and restock kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed

Comply with all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment

Provide exceptional customer service to our diners when interacting with them in the kitchen

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or Preparation Cook in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately

Excellent time management and organisational skills

A keen interest in food and cooking, with a passion for providing high-quality food

Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards and Haccp procedures.
