Found in 1998 in the heart of Sydney, Australia, MindChamps International Preschool & Early Learning (“MindChamps”) is a pathbreaking Preschool and early childhood education with a 22 centres operating globally in Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Myanmar.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Cook for a Full Time position starting ASAP at our centre in West Hoxton, NSW.

The Childcare is a 42 place centre. It opens from 7:00 am and 6:00 pm. Working hours are Monday to Friday on mutually agreed 8-hour shifts.

Developing positive eating habits in the early years is a responsibility we take very seriously at MindChamps. This is why we have invested heavily in creating the MindChamps ChampionGold™ Standard Nutrition Programme which has been developed by the MindChamps Nutrition team led by our Chief Nutrition Officer, Australia’s leading paediatric Nutritionist and bestselling author.

As a Childcare Cook, your core responsibilities will include the following:

Comply with all relevant legislation, early childhood regulations, policies, procedures, and work guidelines.

Prepare and cook nutritious, culturally appropriate meals for children 0-6 years old.

Provide for/or supplement alternative foods/beverages for children with allergies or special food/dietary requirements.

Prepare weekly stock take and ordering.

Maintain and ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene such as cleaning and washing.

Ensure all meals and snacks are ready by the time specified by the Director.

What we are looking for:

Previous experience in cooking for large groups of children aged 0-6 years (desirable)

Relevant Commercial Cookery/Hospitality qualifications and food safety supervisor certificates

A current Working with Children Check

Basic training in Food Safety and Nutrition

Experience in preparing and cooking nutritiously balanced meals
